At the intersection of smart and cool

Taking Place Aug. 14-18 Near Pike 3400: The Annual Arlington County Fair!

From August 14th to the 18th, make your way down to the Thomas Jefferson Community Center to enjoy one of Arlington’s oldest and most enduring summer traditions. That’s right, the Arlington County Fair is almost here again. Last year’s festival drew over 84,000 visitors, and if the weather’s nice, this year might top six figures.

Why is the county fair so popular? Well, to start, admission is free, which makes everyone happy. You’ll also find literally hundreds of different vendors, booths, and exhibits featuring everything from embroidery and ceramics to floral arrangements and pecan pie. The entertainment options are impressive as well, with clowns and magicians to entertain the kids, while musicians and dancers keep everyone tapping their toes. And, of course, you’ll be able to play games and ride the Ferris wheel when you visit the midway. Keep in mind that there is no parking on site, but free shuttles and transit are available from surrounding areas.
