At the intersection of smart and cool

Kick Off the Weekend at Renegade, Now Open Near Pike 3400

Renegade, Arlington

A new addition to the Clarendon scene, Renegade is two attractions in one: a live music venue and a restaurant led by a fine dining chef. As a trendy new spot that offers more than an ordinary eatery, it’s the perfect spot for your next date — and it won’t break the bank.

The chef and owner, Patrick Crump, has made a name for himself at other local establishments and has been instrumental in the dining scene locally for more than 20 years. His menu offers a taste of different cuisines from around the world, including Egypt, Malaysia, and Hawaii. Lunch and dinner options include Vietnamese crispy salmon, Korean chicken, and pulled chicken shawarma. The best part? Everything is $10 or less.

The Renegade is open 20 hours a day, offering coffee starting at 6 a.m. and a breakfast menu, featuring items like breakfast churros and sandwiches, available all day. Then, after 9:30 p.m., the restaurant transforms into a music venue featuring performances by local artists and cover bands. If you decide to make a night out of it, Renegade also offers a late-night food menu with snacks — and the bar is open until 2 a.m.
